Today my group and I discussed what replies we have had in regards of casting, I went and enquired Amelie to see if she was available for the shoot day she said she was available which allowed for the group to cast her as the asylum girl. Today we also discussed the use of the drone, after discussing it through we realized there may be the possibility that we would be unable to use a drone one reason for this was due to the fact the front of Peaslake had multiple minivans parked in front which would mean that the shot could be ruined and may lead the audience to not grasp the idea that Peaslake is meant to be viewed as a family home, this shot, therefore, would mess with the concept of the film. I suggested other methods in which we could use a drone for an aerial shot such as dolly tracking the car as the car comes up the driveway then possibly bringing the drone round from the back, therefore, missing the buses that could obstruct the shot. I also discussed the idea that we follow the car up the road with a drone shot then switch to a poly tracking shot of the car pulling into the driveway, which would have been another way to include more types of shots and avoid including the buses. As a group, we decided that both of these ideas could be an option in exchanging our originally planned shot. We went over the idea of duel control on the drone to verify with Adam that this was an option we were able to do, due to the new laws in place on drones that you must be licensed and must be over eighteen it was decided that we will require more time to think over this idea.
